About the RoleCover People are currently recruiting for a Music Teacher to join an oversubscribed, welcoming secondary academy (11–16) based in Didsbury, South Manchester, from September 2026 until December 2026.
This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in a long-term role, delivering engaging and inspiring Music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. ECT 1s and ECT 2s will be allocated a supportive mentor to help them complete a full term of their induction.
M1–M6 Teachers will be paid to scale from day one.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and assess engaging learning activities that inspire creativity and musical development
- Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Support the academic, creative, and personal development of all learners
- Contribute to the wider life of the Music department where appropriate
- QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Music at KS3 and GCSE level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for Music education and pupil progress
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
- Right to work in the UK
