EMBS Talent is working in partnership with a global manufacturer known for producing high-precision, detailed components across a range of machining processes, supplying primarily into the aerospace sector.

As part of continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Quality Technician on a permanent basis, joining a well-established NDT function at their Alcester site.

Responsibilities

As an NDT Technician, you will be qualified at Level 2 and responsible for Dye Penetrant Inspection to inspect engine assembly components.

You will:

  • Follow procedures to carry out DPI & visual inspections

  • Ensure that all equipment used is suitable for use and maintained to the correct standard

  • Create and authorise reports in relation to DPI

  • Make sure that standards are achieved by interpreting and evaluating the test results 

  • Carry out inspections to make sure the components adhere to the client's specification

  • Have the ability to read job cards and understand the requirements

  • Be able to set up your working environment in accordance with the requirements on the Engineering drawings, Data cards and Inspection Plans etc. 

  • Raise non-conformance issues in accordance to the policy and carry out the necessary action to prevent recurrences 

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Achievement of Level 2 Diploma in DPI NDT and continue to maintain this

  • 1-2 years within an Aerospace or Manufacturing background

  • The importance of following quality & manufacturing standards to achieve the business requirements

  • Taking responsibility for your working environment 

  • Providing support and training to other colleagues as needed

  • A strong work ethic and team-oriented approach 

  • Strong communication skills, verbally and written

  • Ability to read and understand client specifications
