.NET Developer / Senior .NET Developer
Avanti Recruitment
.NET Developer / Senior .NET Developer
Manchester City Centre | Hybrid, 2 days per week
Mid-Level: circa £45,000 | Senior: circa £55,000
Permanent
We’re recruiting for two Full-Stack .NET Developers, one Mid-Level and one Senior, to join an established digital business in Manchester.
You’ll work within a client-focused development team delivering and supporting digital solutions across a large and varied customer base. Rather than spending all your time maintaining a single product, you’ll work across different projects and technical challenges in small development teams.
The Role
Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities will include:
- Full-stack development using C# and modern .NET
- Building and integrating Web APIs
- Working with SQL Server
- Front-end development using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Developing and supporting CMS-driven websites and applications
- Working across multiple client projects
- Translating requirements and user stories into working software
- Maintaining code quality through code reviews, testing and CI/CD
- Contributing to technical decisions and development best practice
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need a strong commercial background in C#/.NET development and experience working across both back-end and front-end development.
CMS experience is important for these positions, with experience of Umbraco particularly attractive. Experience with Kentico or another .NET-based CMS would also be relevant.
Previous experience working for a digital agency or consultancy would be a significant advantage because of the varied, client-led nature of the work.
We’re particularly interested in developers with experience across:
- C# / .NET / .NET Core
- Web APIs
- SQL Server
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- HTML / CSS
- Umbraco, Kentico or other CMS platforms
- Git / source control
- Unit and automated testing
- CI/CD
React experience is not required.
For the Mid-Level position, we're generally looking for 2+ years of relevant commercial development experience.
For the Senior position, you'll need a stronger depth of commercial .NET experience and the ability to operate effectively at senior level across client projects.
A strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline will also be valued.
Working Environment
This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours of 10am to 4pm.
The business operates a flexible hybrid model requiring two days per week in its Manchester city centre office. These are not fixed office days.
There is a strong emphasis on continued technical development. Developers receive a dedicated CPD programme with at least five allocated training days per year, alongside a training budget.
Salary
Mid-Level .NET Developer: circa £45,000
Senior .NET Developer: circa £55,000
Benefits
- 26 days' holiday plus public holidays
- Option to purchase up to 5 additional days' holiday
- Private healthcare
- 5% employer pension contribution after 3 months
- Dedicated training and CPD budget
