Nights FLT/Chemical Process Operator

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the production process, operating an FLT, packing finished products and maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• General labouring and production duties.
• End-of-line packing of finished products.
• Filling IBCs, 30kg pails and 125kg Mausers.
• Operating a Counterbalance FLT to move pallets and finished goods safely around site.
• Cleaning industrial mixers and production equipment.
• General housekeeping and maintaining a clean working environment.
• Following all Health & Safety, COSHH and company procedures.
• Supporting the production team to meet daily targets.

Shift Pattern

Permanent Nights

• Monday – Wednesday: 6:00pm – 6:00am
• Thursday: 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Training

• Initial training will be completed on day shifts for approximately 1–2 weeks before transferring to the permanent night shift.

Pay

• Basic Rate: £14.00 per hour
• 18.3% Shift Allowance
• Total Rate: £16.56 per hour

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing, warehouse or production environment.
• Experience with manual handling and general labouring duties.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to work permanent night shifts.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.

Desirable

• Previous experience within a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH.
• Experience filling IBCs, pails or drums.
• Experience cleaning industrial machinery or mixers.
