We're recruiting an NPD Technologist to join the product development team of a leading food manufacturer.
This is a hands-on role managing new and modified chilled / short shelf-life products from concept through to factory launch, working closely with NPD, Technical, Commercial, Marketing and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage NPD and EPD projects against agreed timelines
- Develop chilled and short shelf-life food products
- Coordinate and attend factory trials, product sampling and shelf-life testing
- Support industrial validations, costings and product documentation
- Manage project critical paths and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Research food trends and identify new product opportunities
- Coordinate pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities
- Support successful product handover into manufacturing
You'll ideally have:
- Practical experience of factory trials, sampling and shelf-life analysis
- Strong project and time management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- A proactive, hands-on approach to product development
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline would be advantageous
