We are supporting a leading manufacturing organisation in the search for an NPI Quality Manager to support a major long-term programme within the nuclear industry.

This role will take ownership of quality throughout the New Product Introduction lifecycle, ensuring new products are successfully transitioned from feasibility and development through to full production readiness. Working closely with customers, engineering, manufacturing and project teams, you will play a key role in delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and traceability.

The Role

As NPI Quality Manager, you will lead all quality planning activities associated with new product introduction and process development, whilst supporting continuous improvement across existing manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality activities across NPI projects from concept through to production launch.
  • Apply and embed APQP methodologies within existing and developing manufacturing processes.
  • Manage quality requirements throughout feasibility, development, validation and production readiness stages.
  • Act as the primary quality liaison between customers, development teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, quality procedures, capability studies and inspection strategies.
  • Ensure full product traceability, compliance and documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support manufacturing readiness reviews, process validation and product qualification activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk, improve capability and prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations and project teams to maintain quality standards whilst meeting programme objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance product quality, efficiency and reliability.

About You

We are looking for an experienced quality professional with a strong background in NPI and regulated manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an NPI Quality Manager, Advanced Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans and quality planning tools.
  • Experience taking products from feasibility and development through to successful production release.
  • Excellent understanding of process validation, inspection planning and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Proven experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, traceability and quality management requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
  • Ability to balance quality, commercial and project delivery requirements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must hold full right to work in the UK without time constraints or restrictions
