Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join a successful and growing Employment team based in either Guildford or Richmond. Working alongside experienced employment specialists, you will manage your own varied caseload while also supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value matters. The role will involve advising both employers and employees on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including HR advisory matters, employment contracts and policies, settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievance matters, restructures, discrimination claims and Employment Tribunal proceedings. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base ranging from SMEs and owner-managed businesses to larger corporates and senior executives. In addition to fee-earning responsibilities, you will be encouraged to participate in client relationship management, business development initiatives, employment law seminars and training sessions, helping to further strengthen the firm's market presence and reputation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified solicitor, or due to qualify shortly, with employment law experience gained during your training contract. Candidates should have exposure to both contentious and non-contentious employment matters and demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a long-term career within this specialist area. You will possess strong drafting, communication and client relationship skills, together with a proactive and collaborative approach to your work. The successful candidate will be commercially aware, technically capable and keen to contribute to the continued success and growth of a highly regarded Employment team.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will join a supportive and forward-thinking firm offering high-quality work, excellent training and clear progression opportunities. The firm provides a competitive salary and benefits package, flexible and hybrid working arrangements, and genuine long-term career prospects within a recognised Employment practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious NQ solicitor seeking exposure to a broad range of employment matters while developing their technical expertise alongside experienced practitioners.
