Nursery Assistant -Flexible Shifts in South East

Due to continued demand for our temporary staffing services across Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne and the surrounding areas, we are recruiting experienced, caring and reliable Nursery Assistants to join our flexible agency team.

As an Agency Nursery Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work within a variety of early years and nursery settings, supporting children in a safe, nurturing and engaging environment.

About the Role

Your responsibilities may include supporting children with their daily routines, play and learning activities, meals and refreshments, personal care and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment.

You will work alongside permanent nursery staff to support children's development and wellbeing while following the individual setting's routines, safeguarding procedures and policies.

As an agency worker, you will need to be adaptable, professional and confident entering different nursery environments while quickly building positive working relationships with staff and children.

Safeguarding is central to this role, and you will be expected to recognise and report any concerns appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for Nursery Assistants who are caring, dependable and enthusiastic about supporting children within early years environments.

Applicants must:

• Have recent UK experience working within a nursery, early years or relevant childcare setting
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and the importance of creating a safe environment for children
• Be willing to complete Onpoint Care's induction and all required training
• Have or be willing to obtain the appropriate Enhanced DBS, along with satisfactory employment references and the Right to Work in the UK

An appropriate Early Years or Childcare qualification is desirable.
