Empowering Learning is currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to work as bank staff across nurseries in Derby and the surrounding areas.

As a bank Nursery Practitioner, you will support children throughout their early years, helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where they can learn, play and develop.

• Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.

• Planning and delivering fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.

• Supporting children's communication, physical, social and emotional development.

• Providing high-quality care, including supporting mealtimes, personal care and daily routines.

• Observing children's progress and contributing to their learning journeys where required.

• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging children's independence.

• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming nursery environment.

• Working collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure every child receives excellent care.

• Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times.

• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised for the role.

• Has a genuine passion for working with babies and young children.

• Has a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.

• Understands the importance of safeguarding and child development.

• Has good communication and teamwork skills.

• Is reliable, adaptable and confident working in different nursery settings.

• Can build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Previous nursery or childcare experience is desirable.
