Nursery Manager – September 2026

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and inspirational Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming and well-established nursery in Bracknell from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated early years professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding childcare and education. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning and safeguarding are maintained.

The Role

You will:

• Lead, motivate and support the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education and care.

• Oversee the daily operation of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.

• Ensure compliance with EYFS statutory requirements, safeguarding procedures and all relevant policies and legislation.

• Monitor the quality of teaching and learning, supporting staff development and continuous improvement.

• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and external agencies.

• Manage staff recruitment, induction, training, performance and supervision.

• Oversee occupancy levels, admissions and nursery administration.

• Manage budgets, resources and operational requirements effectively.

• Prepare for and support inspections, maintaining high standards across all aspects of the nursery.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have:

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare as a minimum (Level 5 or above desirable).

• Previous experience in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Nursery Manager or senior leadership role within an early years setting.

• A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and safeguarding requirements.

• Proven leadership, organisational and people management skills.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

• A commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for children and supporting staff development.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
