Revive Education is excited to be partnering with a newly established nursery in Hackney to recruit an exceptional Nursery Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nursery Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager ready to take the next step into their first management role. About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on management role, combining leadership on the nursery floor with office-based responsibilities. You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the open-plan nursery, caring for children from babies through to four years old, while ensuring the highest standards of care, learning and safeguarding. The nursery currently has 10 children on roll, with additional children joining from September, making this an exciting time to become part of its journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the nursery team, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high-quality care and education.
  • Mentor, coach and develop practitioners through regular support and training.
  • Ensure outstanding practice in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Support continuous quality improvement and Ofsted readiness.
  • Manage nursery operations, planning and organisation to ensure the smooth running of the setting.

About the Nursery

Our client is a small, welcoming and growing nursery that provides a nurturing environment where every child is known as an individual. You'll be supported by a friendly team of three qualified practitioners who are enthusiastic, hardworking and eager to continue developing their skills. The setting also benefits from an outdoor playground and excellent transport links, with two nearby train stations. Parking permits have been applied for and are expected shortly.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to a minimum Level 3 in Early Years.
  • An experienced Nursery Manager with at least two years' management experience, or an exceptional Deputy Manager ready to step into their first management role.
  • Confident in leading teams and promoting high-quality practice.
  • Knowledgeable about the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
  • Experienced in preparing for and supporting Ofsted inspections.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Warm, approachable and confident when building relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Passionate about developing others and creating a positive team culture.

Salary & Benefits

  • £35,000–£40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Full-time role (37.5–40 hours per week)
  • Current working pattern across four days
  • Nursery opening hours: 8:00am–6:00pm
  • Ongoing professional development, including SEN, Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid training
  • Opportunity to undertake a Level 5 Early Years qualification
  • 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Christmas closure (annual leave to be reserved for this period)
