Nursery Nurse

Position: Nursery Nurse (Level 3 Qualified)

Pay Rate: £14–£16 per hour

Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse to support a range of early years settings across Chichester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring practitioner who is passionate about supporting children’s development in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

You will be working within well-established nurseries, helping to deliver high-quality early years education and care to children aged 0–5. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is confident supporting learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.

• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children

• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and development

• Work collaboratively with room leaders and other practitioners to support daily routines

• Promote positive behaviour and encourage social and emotional development

• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework

• A caring, patient, and proactive approach

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
