Pay: £90–£110 per day

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are available for candidates with extensive experience and relevant training. Pay is determined in line with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.

Transparency Education is looking for a warm, knowledgeable and proactive Nursery Nurse to join an early years setting in Dartford.
This full-time role is ideal for an early years professional who is passionate about giving young children a secure, stimulating and positive start to their education. You will help create purposeful learning experiences through play while supporting children’s communication, physical development, confidence and emotional wellbeing.


The successful candidate will understand how young children learn and will be confident balancing nurturing care with clear developmental goals.

The role
As a Nursery Nurse, you will:
• Provide safe, engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Support children’s development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Encourage communication, language, early literacy and early mathematical understanding.
• Plan or contribute to child-led and adult-directed activities.
• Observe children and record relevant progress and development.
• Help identify children who may require additional support.
• Support positive behaviour, independence and emotional regulation.
• Build professional relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Assist with meals, toileting, changing and personal care when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and stimulating learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, first-aid and confidentiality procedures.

About you
We are seeking someone who:
• Holds a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 early years or childcare qualification.
• Has practical experience in a nursery, preschool, reception class or similar setting.
• Understands the EYFS framework and child-development milestones.
• Can create engaging learning opportunities using play, stories, movement and exploration.
• Is observant and able to recognise changes in a child’s development or wellbeing.
• Communicates sensitively with children, families and colleagues.
• Is dependable, energetic and comfortable working as part of a busy team.
• Understands professional boundaries and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Paediatric first-aid training and experience supporting children with SEND would be beneficial but are not essential.
