About the Role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join a welcoming primary school in Hillingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Nurse who is passionate about supporting children's early development and creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

The successful candidate will work within the school's Early Years setting, supporting children in Nursery and Reception with their learning, development and wellbeing. You will play a key role in delivering engaging play-based activities, supporting children's communication and independence, and helping pupils build strong foundations for their future learning.

Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team, you will support pupils in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and purposeful activities.
• Support children’s communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
• Carry out observations and contribute to children’s learning records and assessments.
• Encourage children's independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Provide support for children with additional needs, including SEND where required.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and school staff.
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources and daily routines.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion throughout the school.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (essential).
• Experience working within an Early Years setting, nursery or primary school environment.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Experience supporting children’s learning and development.
• A caring, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• A passion for early years education and helping children achieve their potential.
• A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS), or be willing to apply for one.
