About the School

We are working with a friendly and community-focused mainstream primary school in Hillingdon that takes pride in creating a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to feel confident, valued and ready to learn.

The school has a strong Early Years provision and believes in giving children the best possible foundations for their education. Staff work closely together to create engaging learning experiences and ensure children are supported both academically and personally.

The school is looking for a qualified Nursery Nurse to become part of its established Early Years team and contribute to the positive experience of children in the Nursery setting.

About the Role

As a Nursery Nurse, you will work closely with the Nursery Teacher and wider Early Years team to support children's learning, development and wellbeing.

You will help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play-based activities and develop their confidence, communication and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children within a mainstream Nursery setting
  • Work closely with the Nursery Teacher to support learning and development
  • Assist with planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities
  • Support children's communication, language, social and emotional development
  • Help children develop confidence, independence and positive relationships
  • Support children with their personal care and daily routines where required
  • Observe children and contribute to assessments and progress tracking
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment
  • Support children during indoor and outdoor learning and play
  • Work effectively with parents, carers and the wider Early Years team
  • Follow the EYFS framework and support children's individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage children's wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years is essential
  • Previous experience working with children in a Nursery or Early Years setting
  • Experience working within a mainstream school is desirable
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A warm, caring and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children and families
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Must have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply
