Nursery Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Practitioners and a Room Leader to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team within our nursery setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care. Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily nursery activities, ensuring they meet developmental and educational standards
• Understands the EYFS and Safeguarding
• Plan, organise, and implement engaging learning experiences tailored to children's individual needs
• Supervise and support nursery staff, promoting teamwork and professional development
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
• Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and policies
• Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of nursery practices through reflective practice and feedback

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development
• Previous management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is desirable
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
• Valid DBS check and relevant safeguarding training
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead others confidently
• A driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between settings or activities outside the nursery
