NURSERY PRACTITIONER – CAMBRIDGE

THE ROLE

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5
• Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
• Planning and supporting engaging and age-appropriate activities
• Encouraging children’s independence, confidence and curiosity
• Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development
• Completing observations and contributing to children’s learning journeys
• Recognising and responding to individual children’s needs and interests
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies
• Working effectively as part of a dedicated Early Years team

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for enthusiastic Early Years professionals who are passionate about providing the highest possible standard of care and education.

You will ideally have:

• A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, depending on the role
• Previous experience working within a nursery, pre-school or Early Years setting
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A reliable, caring and professional approach
• A willingness to learn, develop and take on new responsibilities
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable
