Academics is delighted to be working in partnership with a friendly, nurturing, and well-established nursery that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years education and wants to help young children develop and thrive in a positive environment.

Role Details

Location: Wandsworth
Start Date: September 2026 to July 2026
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term Time)
Pay: £95-£100 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the nursery team in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
  • Assist with engaging activities that support children's learning, development, and curiosity.
  • Support children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development.
  • Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and contribute to children's learning and development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working with children within a nursery, Early Years, primary school, or similar educational setting.
  • Ideally hold a Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification, although candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and play-based learning.
