The Role
Due to continued business growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for Nutritionist to join the brilliant Food Team with a focus on providing support to the wider business. You will join a growing Food team that is making a real impact on the success of Impact Food Group.
Working closely with the Head of Nutrition, and across both state and independent education sectors, you will help drive and promote nutrition within the business. You will be an expert in nutrition with an interest and passion for promoting good nutrition in the education sector.
What you’ll be Doing
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Nutrition and Food Team to showcase IFG’s expertise in Nutrition and what a key part it plays in our overall food offer.
- Be an expert in nutrition and a knowledgeable point of contact for the business, supporting operations, marketing and sales as required.
- Play a key role in the development of nutrition education initiatives across the business, including, nutritional guides and resources and running added value events for all sectors of the business.
- Running and supporting with on-site events, such as workshops, assemblies, tasters, cooking sessions etc
- Ensure compliance with all current and future Government guidelines, standards and legislation, while looking at how IFG can go beyond these to provide a market leading food offer.
- Support management of nutritional analysis system and conduct regular nutritional analysis of menus & recipes to assess their compliance with dietary requirements, make recommendations and adjustments as needed.
- Supporting with the management of allergies & other dietary requirements within the business, including creation of allergy menus, allergy reports, carb counts & menus for pupils with SEN requirements
- Educate and support IFG staff in nutrition, allergens and menu development
- Support with gaining accreditations across the business in relation to food and nutrition, e.g FFL
- Support with the development, implementation and updating of company policies in relation to food and nutrition.
- Management of dedicated nutrition team inbox and supporting with queries from operations teams, parents, schools and clients.
What We Are Looking For
- BSc (Hons) in Nutrition, Dietetics or related degree
- Registered Associate (ANutr) / Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) with the AfN or Registered Dietician (RD)
- At least 3 years, post graduate experience, preferably with some experience of school food or education contract catering
- Passionate about driving positive and keeping up to date with current nutrition research
- Excellent presentation and communication skills and experience of delivery to a range of stakeholders, including children
- Experience with nutritional analysis systems
- Full, clean driving licence & ability to travel
