Occupational Therapist – SECURE STAIRS, Oakhill STC

Join a developing service dedicated to improving the well-being and psychological functioning of young people (12–18) with an offending history at Oakhill STC. As part of a joint Health/secure estate partnership, you'll deliver specialist OT interventions within the trauma-informed SECURE STAIRS framework, supporting young people transitioning into secure settings.

The role: Hold a caseload of service users with complex health and social care needs, leading on assessment, formulation of risk and treatment needs, and delivery of both 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions. Work as part of the MDT, providing specialist assessments, supervision, and leadership.

What we're looking for:

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
  • Sensory integration trained (e.g. Ayres SI)
  • Experience in neurodevelopmental/specialist diagnostic assessment with children and young people
  • Strong knowledge of DSM-5 criteria, autism/ADHD assessment tools, and differential diagnosis
  • ADOS-2/ADI-R training desirable
  • Experience in a hospital, community, or prison setting an advantage
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and MDT teamworking skills
