Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a Local Authority Rehousing Team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to support residents with disabilities, long-term health conditions, and complex needs by carrying out housing and functional assessments and providing recommendations to support rehousing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake functional and housing needs assessments.
- Assess how disabilities and health conditions impact an individual's ability to live safely and independently within their home.
- Provide professional recommendations to support rehousing decisions.
- Complete detailed assessment reports and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with housing teams, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
- Support residents in accessing suitable accommodation that meets their assessed needs.
- Ensure practice complies with relevant legislation, guidance, and local authority policies.
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Previous experience within community, housing, social care, or local authority services.
- Strong assessment, report-writing, and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
- Previous experience within a Rehousing, Adaptations, or Housing OT service.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and disabled adaptations.
- Local Authority experience.
