BE Recruitment are recruiting an office administrator for a manufacturing company based in Leicestershire, LE7.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Administrator with logistics experience to join our growing team. This is a varied role that is central to the smooth running of our office and production operations, providing administrative support across multiple departments while coordinating logistics for both commercial and military customers.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise a busy workload, and experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
Hours:
- 26 hours per week - Flexible on times.
- Monday - Friday between 09:00 - 17:00 (13:30 on Fridays)
Pay:
- £13.50 P/H
Key Responsibilities:
As our Office Administrator, you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, customers and suppliers via telephone, email and reception.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, facility access and the main gate entry system.
- Handle customer enquiries and concerns, ensuring they are communicated promptly to the relevant managers.
- Maintain office supplies, uniforms and kitchen stock.
- Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming office environment, including hospitality when required.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support across the business.
- Support the Office Manager with document management and timely archiving of company records.
- Coordinate weekly dispatches and returns for both commercial and military customers.
- Create production work orders and issue serial numbers before orders enter production.
- Prepare Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) for military orders where required.
- Assist with logistics documentation to ensure accurate paperwork is completed prior to dispatch.
- Support the Procurement Manager with supplier applications and returns documentation.
- Assist management with stock control and material usage records.
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support the needs of the business.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in an office administration role.
- Logistics or dispatch experience is essential.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience using SAGE.
- Experience managing diaries, telephone systems and reception duties.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A professional, friendly and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
