We are recruiting on behalf of a growing business for a Part-Time Office Administrator to join a small and friendly team on a maternity cover basis.

This is a varied administrative role supporting the day-to-day running of the business, with responsibilities across customer service, sales and purchase order processing, service contracts, machinery and spare parts administration, shipping documentation and general office support.

The successful candidate will be organised, accurate and proactive, with the confidence to communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues and the flexibility to get involved across different areas of the business.

The role is initially offered as maternity cover, however, as the business continues to grow, there may be an opportunity for a similar permanent position to become available for the right person.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound telephone calls and respond to email enquiries, directing customers to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with resolving customer queries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain organised filing systems for documents, records and correspondence.
  • Process sales orders and purchase orders using Sage.
  • Maintain and update records using Sage and Excel.
  • Assist managers with administrative and operational projects.
  • Maintain existing service contracts and assist with setting up new contracts.
  • Provide administration and support relating to machinery and spare parts sales.
  • Assist with month-end preparation and associated administration.
  • Support import and export shipments, including relevant documentation.
  • Provide general accounts administration, including logging invoices as experience develops.
  • Carry out other duties appropriate to the role and support the wider team as required.
