We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Order Coordinator to join a successful and growing manufacturing business.
This is a key role within the commercial team, taking responsibility for orders once they have been agreed and ensuring all information is complete, accurate and technically correct before being released to production.
You’ll be the important link between customers, Sales, Estimating, Project Management and Production, so we’re looking for someone who is highly organised, confident communicating with different stakeholders and has excellent attention to detail.
The role
As Order Coordinator, you will:
- Review incoming customer orders to ensure all information is complete and accurate before they reach production
- Identify missing information, discrepancies or technical queries and resolve these promptly
- Liaise with customers to obtain additional information or clarification where required
- Work closely with Estimators, Sales Managers, Project Managers and Production
- Raise and manage Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Make permitted administrative and non-commercial amendments to order documentation
- Confirm delivery dates in line with production lead times
- Keep customers updated throughout the order process and provide a high level of customer service
- Maintain accurate order information and progress updates within the CRM system
- Identify potential issues before they impact manufacturing or delivery
- Help improve processes and reduce order errors and production delays
What we're looking for
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience within order processing, order coordination, sales administration or a similar role
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, construction, joinery or technical environment would be highly advantageous
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence questioning information and challenging discrepancies when something doesn't look right
- Experience using CRM systems – HubSpot experience would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a busy environment
- A proactive, problem-solving approach
You don't need to be an engineer, but you will need to be comfortable working with detailed and technical order information and have the confidence to ask the right questions.
The opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join an established and growing UK manufacturing business where you will play an important part in ensuring orders move smoothly from the commercial team into production.
The business offers a supportive team environment and is looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys solving problems and wants to make a genuine impact on the customer experience and wider operation.
