Office Junior / Electrical Contract Administrator

Location: Chigwell, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: National Minimum Wage (dependent on age)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Office Junior to join our busy electrical contracting office in Chigwell. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in administration within the construction and electrical industry.

Working closely with our Contracts Managers and Office Team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and emails professionally.
  • Filing, scanning and organising office documents.
  • Assisting with the preparation of quotations, invoices and job documentation.
  • Scheduling engineers and updating work diaries.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ordering office supplies and materials when required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating company databases.
  • Assisting with health & safety paperwork and compliance documents.
  • General office administration and support to the contracts team.

Requirements

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Punctual, reliable and professional.
