The Role of a One to One Autism Support Assistant :
- Provide 1:1 support for secondary pupils with autism
- Support communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and learning
- Assist with structured routines, sensory strategies, and differentiated lessons
- Help implement IEPs, individual targets, and behaviour plans
- Work closely with teachers, families, and external professionals
We're Looking For a One to One Autism Support Assistant:
- Experience supporting pupils with ASC/ASD or complex SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and calm approach
- Knowledge of autism-specific strategies, sensory needs, and low-arousal techniques
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
