Land and Sea Resources are recruiting for an experienced Onshore Planner to join a leading energy operator based at Barrow-in-Furness Gas Terminal. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an Onshore Planner to play a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations across a major UK energy asset.
As an Onshore Planner, you will be responsible for implementing and continuously improving the asset planning process, ensuring maintenance and operational activities are effectively prioritised, coordinated, and ready for execution. The successful Onshore Planner will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Project teams to deliver integrated plans that support safety, asset integrity, and production performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated asset plans for onshore operations.
- Produce and coordinate 28-day, 3-month, and long-term planning schedules.
- Provide daily planning support to Operations and the Onshore Operations Manager.
- Prioritise work in line with safety, production, and asset integrity objectives.
- Coordinate planning activities across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Projects.
- Ensure work scopes are fully prepared and ready for execution.
- Identify and resolve planning constraints before work begins.
- Contribute to the 8-quarter planning process and future workload forecasting.
- Monitor planning performance, KPI's, and schedule compliance while driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Onshore Planner, Asset Planner, Maintenance Planner, or in a similar planning role.
- Significant experience using Primavera P6 and SAP.
- Strong knowledge of integrated planning within an operational environment.
- Understanding of Project Controls, including Planning, Cost, Risk, and Management of Change (MoC).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Project Management or Project Controls experience is desirable.
- Technical background qualification is advantageous.
- Previous experience within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector is highly desirable.
