Operations Assistant Manager Worcestershire Permanent £28,000 - £35,000 + Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an adaptable, organised and motivated Operations Assistant Manager to join a highly regarded and growing hospitality business based in Worcestershire.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a successful organisation that delivers a variety of weddings, private events, corporate functions and catering services throughout the region. Offering a dynamic and hands-on role, this position combines event operations, hospitality management, client relations, sales and administrative coordination.
Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning and delivery of high-quality events while supporting the wider operational activities of the business. From handling enquiries and conducting venue tours to coordinating suppliers and overseeing event delivery, you will be involved throughout the entire customer journey.
No two days are the same. One day you could be welcoming prospective clients and showcasing a stunning events venue, while the next you may be coordinating suppliers, managing event setups, supporting catering operations or overseeing staff during a large-scale wedding or private function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing customer service, event coordination, operational management and business support responsibilities. The business operates across a seven-day schedule, and flexibility is essential. Frequent weekend working and occasional late-night event cover form an important part of this position. Working Hours

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage wedding, event and catering enquiries from initial contact through to final planning stages
  • Conduct venue tours and convert enquiries into bookings
  • Liaise with suppliers including florists, DJs, entertainers and venue partners
  • Coordinate all event logistics and client requirements
  • Oversee event setup, including room layouts, décor and equipment
  • Support and manage operational staff during event delivery
  • Ensure exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the venue
  • Maintain accurate booking records, customer information and team diaries
  • Report operational updates, enquiries and bookings to senior management
  • Support catering operations, including order processing, supplier coordination and dispatch activities
  • Assist with the management of guest accommodation bookings and operational schedules
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the client journey
About You The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Previous experience within hospitality, events, venue operations or a customer-focused environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A positive, professional and proactive approach
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to support different areas of the business
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Requirements
  • Previous experience within hospitality
  • Previous experience within events management
  • Sales or customer-facing experience
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
  • Flexibility to work weekends as part of a rota
  • Availability during peak wedding and event seasons
