An exciting position has become available for a Operations Coordinator with our client, a family-run manufacturing business based in Bolton. This role offers the perfect blend of administrative duties and practical support across the factory floor, stock areas, and dispatch.
Your Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Production Manager and department supervisors to maintain production schedules.
- Spend time within production departments, stock areas, and dispatch, resolving practical issues.
- Pick and pack parts, spares, and other smaller orders accurately and securely.
- Process parts and spares orders within the MRP system, including picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Monitor stock levels and purchase low-value items within authorised limits.
- Support routine health and safety checks and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Your Skills and Experience
- A genuine willingness to work both at a desk and hands-on within production, stock, and dispatch areas.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn MRP systems. Previous MRP or ERP system experience is advantageous.
- Clear, professional communication and the confidence to work with people across different departments.
- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehousing, logistics, or a similar practical environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with stock control, stocktaking, goods-in/goods-out, purchasing, or procurement is advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence with own vehicle
Benefits
The role offers a starting salary of £28,000, 28 days' holiday including eight bank holidays, plus the Christmas and New Year shutdown. Following successful completion of the six-month probationary period, you will also receive a health and wellbeing package.
