Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Monday to Friday, Office-Based
About the Role
This position will have a strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting risk management activities. Alongside health & safety responsibilities, you will provide administrative and operational support to ensure projects, maintenance activities and customer requirements are effectively coordinated.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with administration or coordination experience who has a keen interest in health & safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the company's Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with completing, reviewing and maintaining risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date and communicated effectively.
- Maintain accurate Health & Safety records, documentation and compliance reports.
- Assist with accident, incident and near-miss reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
- Monitor site compliance and identify opportunities to improve workplace safety.
- Coordinate Health & Safety training records and ensure mandatory training remains current.
Operations & Administration
- Manage incoming maintenance requests and liaise with relevant departments to ensure completion.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Produce regular reports and analysis for management teams.
- Maintain and update internal systems, databases and compliance records.
- Assist with resource planning and operational scheduling.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience within a Health & Safety, Operations, Administration or Coordination role.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, processes and best practice.
- Experience maintaining compliance records, risk assessments or safety documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
