Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing specialist contractor delivering utilities projects across the South of England.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where you'll be at the centre of day-to-day operations, coordinating vehicles, engineers, equipment and project information to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
The Role
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, CCTV Survey teams, Drivers and Suppliers, you'll provide essential operational and logistical support by:
- Coordinating the daily movement of vehicles, plant, equipment and personnel
- Scheduling engineers, transport and operational resources to meet project demands
- Liaising with drivers, suppliers, hire companies and site teams to coordinate deliveries and collections
- Monitoring vehicle utilisation, servicing, MOTs and compliance records
- Assisting with route planning and resolving day-to-day operational issues
- Receiving, organising and maintaining CCTV survey data and operational records
- Producing reports, maintaining databases and supporting project mobilisation and logistics
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an Operations Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Transport Coordinator, Scheduler, Resource Coordinator or similar administrative role
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with operational teams, suppliers and clients
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
- A proactive approach with excellent time management skills
Desirable
- Experience within utilities, construction, drainage, civil engineering, transport, logistics or another operational environment.
- Knowledge of transport scheduling, fleet management or job management systems, full training will be provided.
