Operations Manager - Care Homes

Salary: £65,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Location: Suffolk

Due to company expansion, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support a portfolio of care homes, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational performance are consistently achieved.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to Home Managers and their teams, driving quality outcomes for residents while delivering financial and business objectives. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines operational oversight, people management, regulatory compliance, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities for the Operations Manager include:

  • Provide leadership and support to Home Managers, ensuring homes operate effectively and deliver outstanding resident care.
  • Drive occupancy, financial performance, and achievement of business targets across your portfolio.
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor quality standards and implement improvement plans where required.
  • Support the recruitment, development, and retention of management teams.
  • Analyse performance data and key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, commissioners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Coach and mentor managers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

About You

  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Regional Manager, or senior leadership role within the care home sector.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and driving business performance.
  • Inspirational leader with excellent people management and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional person-centred care.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
  • NMC registration desirable but not essential.
