Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

Our client is an innovative engineering and manufacturing business developing advanced technology for high-performance industrial applications. With continued investment and ambitious growth plans, they are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to lead their operational, quality and procurement functions as they continue to scale production and bring cutting-edge products to market. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager or Production Manager to join a collaborative, technology-driven organisation where operational excellence is key to continued success.
The successful Operations Manager will have a strong background in manufacturing, operations, quality and supplier management within a complex engineering or advanced manufacturing environment. You'll be a confident leader with excellent communication skills, a hands-on approach to problem solving and experience implementing quality management systems, improving operational performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Experience within precision engineering, electronics, photonics, automation or other high-technology manufacturing sectors would be highly advantageous.
As Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of manufacturing operations, quality management, procurement, supplier performance and service support, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team while working closely with engineering to support new product introduction, improve production processes and ensure manufacturing readiness for future growth. Operations Manager Requirements

Significant experience in operations, manufacturing, quality or production management within an engineering or advanced manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ideally ISO 9001 or similar regulated standards.

Proven experience managing suppliers, procurement and operational performance.

Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.

Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive, hands-on approach with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing engineering or service operations would be advantageous.
