A day in the life of a Murphy Operations Manager:
- Take full accountability for safe, compliant, and commercially controlled project delivery.
- Ensure the project is delivered to contract, programme, and budget.
- Set clear delivery standards across the projects.
- Lead, empower, and inspire the project team towards successful delivery. empowering and inspiring others to successfully deliver.
- Plan for current and future resource requirements and develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Critically analyse and review budgets, forecast, and performance.
- Identify and manage project risks and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
- Lead project progress and performance reviews as part of the business’ reporting processes.
- Ensure projects follow the gateway process and that they are “fit to start” and “fit to finish”.
- Oversee stakeholder management, scope management, contracts, programme, project controls, forecasting, and cost control.
- Contribute to the work winning process to support tender submissions.
- Lead client engagement and negotiations.
