Operations Manager

Stem Recruitment have a new opportunity for an Operations Manager to work for a manufacturing company based in Musselburgh. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, and safety requirements are consistently met. Some responsibilities include

• Lead, develop and manage production teams, including supervisors, technicians, operators and apprentices, ensuring appropriate capability, skills development and succession planning.
• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Manage production capacity, labour planning and resource allocation to meet current and forecast customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality systems.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related methodologies.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, production planning and lean manufacturing tools
• Proven track record in driving operational excellence and process improvement.
