Operations Supervisor / Team Leader – Waste Management & Recycling

AMBITIOUS OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR REQUIRED WITH A BACKGROUND IN WASTE PROCESSING OPERATIONS, PRODUCTION OR CONTRACT MANAGEMENT FOR NATIONAL WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING BUSINESS

TITLE: Operations Supervisor / Team Leader – Waste Management & Recycling

SALARY: £(phone number removed) plus Bonus, Pension, DIS, 25 days plus B/H and Benefits

LOCATION: Commutable to Wrexham

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE MAY HAVE BEEN: MRF Supervisor, MBT Team Leader, Transfer Station Supervisor, IVC Site Manager, HWRC Manager, Metal Recycling Site Supervisor, Total Waste Management Contract Supervisor, Transfer Station Manager, MBT Production Supervisor, MRF Team Leader, Anaerobic Digestion Plant Shift Manager, Civic Amenity Site Team Leader, Quarry Supervisor, Skip Hire Yard Manager

ROLE: Operations Supervisor / Team Leader – Waste Management & Recycling

Ensuring that production KPI’s are being met at a range of waste facilities, this could include Materials Revery Facility, Mechanical Biological Treatment Plant, In-Vessel Composting site, Household Waste & Recycling Centre, Waste Transfer Station, or similar

Implementing and promoting safety, quality and environmental compliance 

Identifying savings and monitoring costs

Monitoring maintenance and ensuring plant availability is maximised, working to continuously improve processes and operations

Developing staff, and driving engagement in the team

EXPERIENCE: Operations Supervisor / Team Leader – Waste Management & Recycling

You will have managed a waste or recycling site (not waste collections) such as a Materials Revery Facility, Mechanical Biological Treatment Plant, In-Vessel Composting site, Household Waste & Recycling Centre, Waste Transfer Station, or similar

You may have any of the following qualifications, IOSH, NEBOSH, COTC / WAMITAB, IEMA, any other waste or environmental 

Any ISO experience welcome

You will have a good standard of education with strong IT, communication and numerical skills. 
You will have a full UK Driving Licence

You will have experience leading or being part of continuous improvement / lean strategies, such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis or similar
