Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert dispensing services, including frame selection, lens recommendations, and precise fitting.
- Interpret prescriptions accurately and advise patients on suitable lens types, coatings, and frame options.
- Carry out detailed measurements such as PDs, segment heights, and frame adjustments.
- Support Optometrists with smooth handovers and contribute to an efficient patient journey.
- Maintain strong product knowledge across frames, lenses, coatings, and optical technologies.
- Process orders accurately using practice management systems and liaise with labs when required.
- Deliver repairs, adjustments, and aftercare services with a high level of technical skill.
- Uphold professional standards for compliance, record‑keeping, and patient confidentiality.
- Contribute to retail performance through product recommendations and supporting sales targets.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in optical dispensing.
- Confident in interpreting prescriptions and providing tailored patient advice.
- Strong communication skills with a warm, professional manner.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and order processing.
- Comfortable working rotational weekend shifts as part of a collaborative team.
- IT‑literate with experience using optical or retail management systems.
- £27,000 – £28,000 salary range.
