Order Picker/Packer Operative (Relief Supervisor)

Location: Aintree
Shift: Monday to Friday | 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour -Morning

                : £15.89 per hour-Afternoon
Team Leader Rate: An additional £1.00 per hour when undertaking Team Leader responsibilities.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Order Picker/Packer Operative to join our client's team, a world leader in the eyelash and cosmetics industry based in Aintree.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Team Leader experience who is happy to work as part of the warehouse team while stepping up to support the Warehouse Team Leader and lead the team whenever required.

The Role

As an Order Picker/Packer Operative, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

When required, you will act as a Relief Supervisor, supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, coordinating the team, and ensuring productivity and quality targets are achieved. For all hours worked whilst carrying out Relief Supervisor duties, you will receive an additional £1.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, check, and pack customer orders accurately.
• Locate and collect stock for dispatch.
• Verify and record outgoing products.
• Prepare and assemble orders ready for shipping.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Support the Warehouse Team Leader with the day-to-day running of the department.
• Step into a Team Leader role during absences, busy periods, or as directed by management.
• Motivate and support team members while ensuring productivity and quality targets are met.
• Assist with training new starters and maintaining company standards.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, order picking, or packing experience is preferred.
• Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience is essential.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude with the confidence to lead a team when required.
• Flexible and reliable with a hands-on approach.
