The Role

Ganymede is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Outage Manager to take ownership of outage planning across a major infrastructure programme within Surrey.

This opportunity will give you responsibility for coordinating approximately 100 planned outages across a major programme, working across Construction, Mechanical, Electrical and Operational teams to ensure critical works can be completed while minimising disruption to live operations.

The Responsibilities

As Outage Manager, you will take outages from initial strategy and planning through to live delivery. You will develop detailed schedules, coordinate labour, engineers, technicians, contractors, plant and equipment, manage electrical isolations and ensure the necessary permits, documentation and controls are in place before work begins.

During live outages, you’ll provide the on-site coordination between project and operational teams, monitoring progress, responding to changes and ensuring safety, quality, programme and operational requirements remain on track.

The Requirements

• Previous experience planning and managing complex outages, shutdowns or operational isolations. 
• Electrical background and appropriate electrical qualification required. 
• Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, process engineering or comparable operational infrastructure. 
• Sewage Treatment Works process experience strongly advantageous. 
• Understanding of MEICA installation and commissioning activities. 
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors, technicians, engineers and operational personnel. 
• Experience developing and managing detailed outage schedules. 
• Experience managing works within operational environments. 
• Experience managing safety, quality, cost and programme during live outages. 
• Experience with resource allocation and budget management. 
• Strong stakeholder and client interface experience.
