Outreach Tutor - Stockton-on-Tees (In-Person)
£27-£30 per hour | Flexible Hours | Immediate Opportunities
We are looking for dedicated Outreach Tutors to work with children and young people across Stockton-on-Tees on behalf of local authorities and schools.
This is a rewarding role supporting learners who are currently unable to access mainstream education. Many learners have SEND, SEMH needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
The Role
Deliver 1:1, in-person tuition in the learner's home or a suitable public venue such as a library.
Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet each learner's individual needs.
Build positive relationships and help learners regain confidence and make academic progress.
Work flexibly around learner availability, including during school hours.
Requirements
Experience teaching or tutoring children and young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs is essential.
A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
Experience working with learners with EHCPs is highly desirable.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience is welcomed.
Reliable transport and willingness to travel within Stockton-on-Tees.
