Are you an experienced frontline leader with a background in outside areas, utilities, effluent treatment or waste management?
We're recruiting an Outside Areas Manager to join a global leader in food manufacturing at its largest UK manufacturing facility in Leicester.
This is a Monday–Friday, standard-hours days role, leading approximately 40 people across critical site operations including the Effluent Treatment Plant, Starch Processing and Anaerobic Digestion Plant.
The Role
As the Outside Areas Front Line Manager (FLM), you'll be the single point of leadership for your team, responsible for day-to-day decision making and performance across these areas.
People leadership is central to the role. You'll coach, develop and empower your team, building capability and creating a high-performing, increasingly self-sufficient operation.
Key responsibilities include for Outside Areas Manager:
- Leading, coaching and developing a frontline team of approximately 40 people.
- Taking ownership of performance across ETP, Starch Processing and AD.
- Championing safety and ensuring compliance with established systems and standards.
- Maintaining high standards of GMP, housekeeping, quality and food safety.
- Managing attendance, performance and conduct.
- Driving adherence to process and equipment standards.
- Using KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Working with operational leaders and site stakeholders to improve performance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with proven experience leading a frontline team within outside-area operations.
Experience within effluent/wastewater treatment (ETP/WWTP), anaerobic digestion, waste management, utilities, starch processing or a closely related environment would be particularly relevant.
You'll be a strong people leader with the ability to coach and develop others, communicate effectively and confidently make day-to-day operational decisions.
You'll also bring a strong safety and compliance mindset, a track record of delivering results and good computer literacy.
Salary up to £50,000, plus annual bonus and additional company benefits.
