Hours: 33.6 hours per week on a rota basis. The shift pattern runs as three blocks of 4 days on / 4 days off, followed by 10 days off

What you'll be doing;

  • Manage wood delivery reception at weighbridge and guide vehicles to receiving station
  • Enforce site traffic safety plan and all Health & Safety policies
  • Process and maintain required documentation for deliveries
  • Operate walking floor system for wood unloading
  • Handle telescopic equipment for skip management
  • Operate mechanical shovel/Bob cat for cleanup operations
  • Support chemical deliveries and ash loading operations
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping duties including additional tasks as assigned
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required within the boiler plant and all ancillary equipment.



What we're looking for;

  • A trained and experienced Vehicle Banksman, with a strong focus on safe working practices.
  • Some experience in chemical deliveries to bulk storage tanks (or a willingness to be trained).
  • Confidence completing routine mobile plant checks and basic maintenance tasks.
  • A logical, practical approach to day-to-day tasks and problem solving.
  • A proactive attitude to learning, with a willingness to develop new skills.
  • Evidence of applying training and on-the-job learning to improve performance.
  • Willingness to maintain and look after the machinery and equipment you're responsible for.
  • A flexible team player who is happy to take on additional responsibilities as you become suitably trained and qualified
