Are you an experienced P6 Planner with a strong background in highways or major civil engineering projects, looking for a freelance opportunity in South Wales?
A  freelance opportunity is available for a P6 Planner to support the planning and delivery of major highways and infrastructure works across South Wales.
This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of site and remote working, with the potential for a long-term engagement for the right candidate.
 
THE ROLE
You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting against project programmes across a range of highways and civil engineering works. You'll work closely with project and delivery teams to ensure programmes are accurate, achievable and reflective of progress on site.
Key responsibilities will include:
·Developing and maintaining programmes
·Producing detailed construction programmes and updates
·Monitoring progress against baseline programmes and identifying potential delays
·Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineers
·Providing programme analysis and progress reporting
·Identifying critical path activities, risks and potential mitigation measures
·Supporting short-term and long-term planning across multiple workstreams
·Producing progress reports and programme information for project stakeholders
·Ensuring programme changes and site progress are accurately reflected
 
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have:
·Proven experience working as a P6 Planner
·Strong experience within highways
·Experience developing and managing construction programmes from planning through to delivery
·Strong understanding of construction sequencing, dependencies and critical path
·Experience working closely with site and project delivery teams
·Strong communication and reporting skills
·Ability to work independently while integrating effectively with wider project teams
Experience across major highways, road infrastructure, maintenance, structures, drainage, earthworks or associated civil engineering schemes would be highly relevant.
