Key responsibilities:

  • Complete standardised and informal assessments and interpret findings.

  • Develop evidence-based intervention plans and clinical recommendations.

About you

  • Current HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.

  • Relevant experience working with children in a paediatric, SEND, school, community or private-practice setting.

  • Effective communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with families and professionals.

  • Willingness and practical ability to work across Walthamstow, Kilburn and Hayes, Bromley, including the Wednesday–Sunday working pattern.

Experience supervising therapy assistants, contributing to EHCPs, using AAC, delivering parent coaching or working with approaches such as SCERTS or ProLoQuo would be advantageous. The role may suit an experienced Band 5 clinician seeking greater responsibility or an early Band 6 clinician looking to develop towards leadership.

What is offered

You will join a supportive specialist service with regular clinical and management supervision, mentoring, multidisciplinary working and ongoing professional development.

The package includes a salary of £35,000–£43,000, annual leave equivalent to 7.5 weeks including bank holidays, a £500 annual CPD budget, a £500 annual wellbeing allowance, pension contributions, specialist autism training and opportunities to develop towards Band 6 and future leadership responsibilities.

Please note that annual leave is allocated around fixed periods, including one week at Easter, the whole month of August and two weeks over Christmas.

Location and working pattern

This role is based across clinics in Walthamstow, Kilburn and Hayes, Bromley. Candidates must be able to travel realistically to all three locations, including at weekends. The working pattern is Wednesday to Friday, 11am to 7pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm, with Mondays and Tuesdays off.
