Senior Speech & Language Therapist
£30-£34 per hour | Kent | Specialist School

Overview

I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join a specialist school in Kent on a locum basis.

This is a really good opportunity for an experienced SLT who enjoys working with children and young people with complex communication needs. You'll be joining an established multidisciplinary therapy team where therapy is well embedded within the school, rather than coming in to build a service from scratch.

You'll manage your own specialist caseload, completing assessments and interventions, contributing to EHCP reviews and working closely with education staff and the wider therapy team.

There's also plenty of variety outside of your direct caseload, including staff training, developing communication approaches across the school and supporting students with eating, drinking and swallowing needs. Dysphagia training can be provided if needed.

Requirements

• HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech & Language Therapy
• RCSLT membership
• Minimum 2-3 years' post-qualification experience
• Confident managing your own caseload
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Education or complex needs experience is desirable
• Enhanced DBS (we can put this in process for you)
