Paint Shop Operative

Location: Chatham, Kent
Salary: £13.07 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful manufacturing client seeking a reliable and hardworking Paintshop Operative to join their team.

This is a hands-on role within a busy production environment, offering excellent opportunities for overtime and long-term stability.

Key Duties

• Packaging coated parts ready for safe transport
• Preparing workpieces for the coating process
• Assisting the coating sprayer with daily production activities
• Hand blasting components to specification
• Carrying out quality inspections on completed items
• Reading and completing internal production paperwork
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Supporting colleagues to achieve production targets

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Comfortable carrying out physical, hands-on work
• Able to read and understand work instructions and internal documentation
• Previous manufacturing or production experience would be advantageous but is not essential

• 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Holiday accrual at approximately 1.9 days per month
• Company Christmas shutdown (3 to 4 days annual leave reserved)
