Paint Shop Operative

Location: Chatham, Kent
Salary: £13.07 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business seeking a Paint Shop Operative to join its production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a practical, hands-on role where full training is provided. Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will support the preparation, coating and finishing of components while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare components for the coating process
• Package finished parts ready for dispatch
• Support coating and paint shop operations
• Hand blast components to specification
• Carry out product quality inspections
• Complete production paperwork accurately
• Follow work instructions and production schedules
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Work collaboratively to achieve daily targets
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures

Previous experience in manufacturing, production, paint spraying, blasting or coating would be beneficial, but is not essential.
