I am recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join their manufacturing team.

My client is a specialist engineering and manufacturing business producing high-quality products where precision, attention to detail and workmanship are critical. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Painter who takes pride in producing a consistently high standard of finish while working within a professional production environment.

As a Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing, masking, priming and finishing manufactured components to an exceptional standard while ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and in line with production schedules.

The successful Paint Sprayer will be responsible for:

  • Priming and finish coating a variety of manufactured items to a high-quality standard.
  • Preparing and masking components prior to painting.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to understand painting and masking requirements.
  • Following manufacturers' technical data sheets (MTDS) and material safety data sheets (MSDS).
  • Baking painted items correctly according to material size and thickness.
  • Completing paint mix record cards accurately.
  • Inspecting your own work to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area.
  • Working to production schedules and work-to lists.
  • Recording production information accurately within company systems.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH requirements.
  • Working both independently and as part of the wider production team.
To be considered for this Paint Sprayer position, you should have:

  • At least 3 years' experience within an industrial paint environment.
  • Experience using stove enamel, 2-pack epoxy/polyurethane and acrylic paint systems.
  • Excellent paint preparation and finishing skills.
  • Knowledge of paint mixing ratios and paint schemes.
  • The ability to produce high-quality, inclusion-free paint finishes.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings for masking requirements.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous MOD or defence manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
  • The ability to maintain painting equipment in good working condition.
  • A reliable, punctual and positive approach to work with strong teamwork skills.
