Commutable from: Derby, Ashbourne, Burton-on-Trent, Belper, Ripley, Nottingham and surrounding areas.

Pay Rate / Salary:
£12.74 - £13.80 per hour

Due to continued growth and demand, they are now looking for a skilled Joinery Sprayer / Finishing Technician to join their experienced production team.
The Position:
Due to continued expansion, the company is now recruiting for a Joinery Sprayer / Finishing Technician to support the preparation and finishing of bespoke manufactured products.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes and wants to work in an environment where workmanship and attention to detail are genuinely valued.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing timber, wood-based products, and surfaces ready for finishing
- Cleaning, sanding, filling, masking, and preparing products prior to spraying
- Applying paints, stains, lacquers, primers, and specialist coatings using spray equipment
- Setting up, adjusting, and maintaining spray guns and finishing equipment
- Ensuring consistently high-quality finishes are achieved
- Inspecting completed work and identifying any defects or areas requiring improvement
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Cleaning and maintaining spraying equipment to ensure optimum performance
- Working to production deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional quality standards
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Joinery Sprayer / Finishing Technician position will have experience within a spraying, finishing, woodworking, manufacturing, or workshop environment.
This role would suit someone from a background such as:
- Joinery Sprayer
- Furniture Sprayer
- Wood Finishing Technician
- Industrial Sprayer
- Paint Sprayer
Candidates should have:
- Experience using spray equipment and applying professional finishes
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality workmanship
- Experience preparing surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish
- Ability to use hand tools and workshop equipment confidently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled production team
Experience working with timber coatings, lacquers, stains, primers, veneers, MDF, or bespoke joinery products would be highly advantageous.
Licence/Certification Required:
No formal qualifications required.
Desirable experience:
- Previous spraying or finishing experience
- Manufacturing or workshop background
- Experience working with timber products or specialist coatings
- Health & Safety awareness
