Paint Sprayer/Overhead Crane Operative

We are seeking a dedicated Paint sprayer and overhead crane operative to join a leading manufacturing team in the Brierly Hill area. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings and paint spraying to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail.

The Job Role 

• Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as required
• Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently, applying coatings evenly across components
• Maintain and calibrate spray guns and other application tools to ensure consistent quality
• Inspect finished products for defects, colour consistency, and adherence to specifications
• Assist with surface preparation tasks such as blasting or priming when necessary
• Keep work areas clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations

Experience/Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding processes
• Overhead crane expereince is essential 
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during coating processes
• Previous warehouse experience or background in manufacturing environments preferred
• Ability to operate welding equipment and use various hand tools effectively
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to powder coating and industrial environments
• Prior experience with surface preparation, spray painting, or powder coating is advantageous.

The Package 

• 12 week temporary to pemrnant contract 
• £13 - £13,50 with shiift allowance £16,50
• Working hours is nuights 5:30pm to 6am Monday to Thursday.
